As global CEO for McCann Health, John is responsible for leading the world’s most connected community of health and wellness experts. On any given day, he can be found traveling in US, LATAM, EMEA, and APAC, building health brands and playing a leading role in programs designed to improve health for all. John believes understanding local cultures is essential to healthcare delivery and by injecting this knowledge with creativity, our work can play a more meaningful role in people’s lives. Under his leadership, McCann Global Health has worked closely with the USAID, GIZ, World Bank, PEPFAR, and Clinton Global Initiative and has created important health communications programs for UNICEF, J&J, and The Coca-Cola Company.
Briana Ferrigno, MS, MPH
As president, Briana oversees all account and strategic management of the agency’s work on multicountry brand communications to promote public and global health. Her team supports ongoing initiatives for the world’s top global health organizations and companies, including UNICEF, USAID, DFID, J&J, and The Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation. Briana has led brand development and launches for noncommunicable diseases, maternal and child health, HIV prevention, WASH, and immunization. She holds an MPH from the Columbia University Mailman School of Public Health, an MS in strategic communications from Columbia University in the City of New York, and a BA in communications from The George Washington University.
Daniel Carucci, MD, PhD
Global Medical Director
Daniel is a research physician with over 25 years of experience in global health including molecular biology and vaccine development; managing large-scale, multimillion dollar programs designed to tackle significant barriers to global health and development on regional and national scales; and working with a private-sector health communications agency to increase demand for health products and services. He has developed an extensive network of global health professionals and works with a wide range of organizations to increase the impact of global health investments.
Executive Creative Director
Dov was raised in Melbourne, Australia, where he graduated from business school at Monash University. He then took off on a year long round-the-world backpacking adventure before arriving at London’s D&AD New Blood Academy where he studied creative advertising. Dov returned to Australia and was recruited by J. Walter Thompson where he created successful campaigns for popular Aussie brands. He moved to New York in 2002 and has worked at top ad agencies including TBWA\Chiat\Day, R\GA, and Ogilvy. Dov has spent the last decade creating famous brand campaigns at McCann New York. Over the span of his 20+ year career he’s worked on some of the world’s most famous brands and won the industry's most coveted awards. As executive vice president and executive creative director at McCann Global Health, Dov now applies his experience and creativity to solving urgent global health challenges.
VP, Associate Creative Director, Copy
As associate creative director of copy, Kurt applies his years of award-winning pharma experience to oversee the writing across McCann Global Health. Kurt has written about medicine for his entire adult life, working on dozens of launches for everything from hematology/oncology to maternal and child health. Before working in advertising, he was a grant writer at City of Hope Cancer Center and Beckman Research Institute, as well as the managing editor for the medical journal Annals of Surgical Oncology. He has an MFA in creative writing from American University and a BA in English literature from Washington University in St. Louis. He’s also a children’s book author, a two-time Jeopardy! champion, and was once the phone-a-friend on Who Wants to Be a Millionaire? (yes, he got the question right).
Emmanuel joined the McCann Global Health team in 2018. As finance manager, he oversees all areas of finance and administration, including payroll, account payable and receivables, job costing, cash management, general ledger, banking and reconciliations, and revenue tracking. He is also responsible for preparing annual budgets, including quarterly financial forecasts as well as financial statements and any reporting required by vendors and clients. Together with the accounting teams, Emmanuel also ensures compliance with business regulations, tax laws, and industry standards for the agency. Coming most recently from Omnicom, Emmanuel has 6 years of industry experience. He holds a BA from Colgate University, where he majored in economics.

Alix is a strategy and communications expert with a knack for finding simplicity in complexity. She has spent the last eleven years enhancing organizational positioning through partnership development, strategic communications, and finding shared value. Prior, Alix led global patient advocacy and partnerships for a rare disease pharmaceutical company and was a communications consultant to PATH during the stand up of Digital Square. She holds an MA in advertising with a focus in health communications from The University of Texas at Austin and an BA in communications from Trinity University in San Antonio, TX.
Tanya Lagatella Kennedy
Vice President, Account Director
Tanya has over 12 years of professional experience and a demonstrated history of leadership in healthcare advertising. She has a passion for identifying customer insights, building brand strategies and executing powerful ideas. Tanya has worked to launch brands across a variety of therapeutic areas including: Women’s Health, Contraceptives, Vaccines, Oncology, Opioid Addiction, Alzheimer’s, Asthma, Cardiovascular, Diabetes. Her high attention to detail has helped facilitate the flawless execution of both U.S. and global fully integrated multi-channel HCP and consumer campaigns. Tanya graduated summa cum laude from Quinnipiac University with a bachelor’s degree in Political Science and Journalism.
Roshan Rahnama, MPH, MBA
SVP, Strategy Director
Roshan is an experienced healthcare strategist with more than 15 years of expertise in advising multinational biopharmaceutical companies on the role of private sector in global health, corporate social responsibility, strategic alliances, and social entrepreneurship and impact. In her work, Roshan carries her expertise in health policy, economics and access to partner with her clients in developing successful commercialization, marketing, and communication strategies. Roshan earned her MBA from Yale University, MPH from New York University, and BA from the University of California at Berkeley. She currently sits on the Board of Directors at Amref Health Africa, the world’s largest African-based non-profit organization.
James Etheridge, MPH
Across both private-and-public sector clients, James focuses on leveraging meaningful brand relationships to solve pressing societal issues. James is passionate about transforming CSR and ESG aspirations into clear, measurable actions and about accelerating public sector programs using innovative, evidence-based approaches. As strategy director, James oversees research and evaluation and communications planning and closely collaborates with creative team members to craft behavior change solutions for a variety of audiences (from caregivers to policy makers). While at McCann Global Health, James has worked on projects spanning over 30 countries focused on vaccination, HIV/AIDS, WASH, sustainability, alcohol harm reduction, gun safety, tobacco cessation, nutrition, education, and more. Recently, The Marketing Academy Scholarship Program selected James as one of 30 inaugural US fellows. James holds a Master of Public Health degree from Columbia University, where he focused his studies on comparative and effective outcomes research.
Emily Carter, MSc
Group Account Supervisor
Emily has extensive experience leading public-and-private-sector healthcare clients (foundations, NGOs, and biopharmaceutical companies) to develop commercialization, marketing, and communications strategies. She has managed various global vaccine-related health campaigns and has launched healthcare products and services in other therapy areas, notably infectious diseases (HIV/AIDS and TB), substance abuse (tobacco/vaping and alcohol), oncology, and immunology. Emily has spent the last 5 years at McCann Health, previously working at Global Health Strategies, the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD), and the African Development Bank. She holds an MSc in health policy, planning and financing from the London School of Economics and London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine and a BA from McGill University, where she majored in economics and international development. She is fluent in French and holds a Project Management Certificate.
Senior Art Director
Kamil was born and raised in Poland, moved to California to study advertising, and got his first creative job at DDB San Francisco. He returned to Poland shortly after school, working at McCann Worldgroup and Saatchi & Saatchi in Warsaw, before ultimately moving to New York in 2018 where he has worked as a freelancer with digital and social media agencies including Accenture Interactive, Oliver, and McCann Health.
Tahmina has a passion for conducting market research, executing brand development, and creating meaningful client relationships. In her career experience, she has worked across multitudes of industries including pharmaceutical. Currently, she supports communication for Pfizer. Tahmina is a creative writer and a native New Yorker who enjoys taking walks by the East River. Tahmina holds a BBA in marketing management from Baruch College.
