Access to modern contraception and reproductive health is essential for gender equality, women’s empowerment, economic development, and progress for all. Yet all around the world, millions of people face an unmet need for reproductive health supplies. In fact, about 287,000 women die from complications related to pregnancy or childbirth each year, with a majority of these deaths occurring in low-income countries. Most of these deaths are preventable with full access to certain vital services and products, and organizations like the Reproductive Health Supplies Coalition (RHSC) are dedicated to eliminating such avoidable consequences by addressing the shortage of reproductive health supplies among people who need them the most.
In continuing our efforts to advance women’s sexual and reproductive health and rights worldwide, McCann Global Health is proud to announce its membership in the Reproductive Health Supplies Coalition, an alliance of public, private, and non-governmental organizations with a shared goal of expanding access to essential reproductive health commodities. The global partnership is dedicated to ensuring that all people in low- and middle-income countries can access and use affordable, high-quality supplies to ensure their better reproductive health.
McCann Global Health is grateful for the opportunity to collaborate with the diverse agencies and groups that make up the Reproductive Health Supplies Coalition, to work toward reproductive health for all.
